This Privacy Policy explains how Perzik (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal data when you visit perzik.xyz (the “Website”). Perzik is a social network project and editorial space currently in a waitlist / relaunch phase.

For the purposes of data protection law, Perzik is the controller of personal data processed through this Website.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

• Browsing the Website and reading essays
• Joining the waitlist with your email address
• Analytics and technical data collected while you use the Website

It does not cover third-party websites you may reach via links from ours.

Data we collect

Waitlist email

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. We use it to tell you about the Perzik relaunch, new essays, and community invitations. The form is powered by MailerLite, which processes your email on our behalf.

Usage and analytics data

We use Matomo, self-hosted, to understand how the Website is used (for example pages viewed, referrers, approximate location from IP, device/browser type, and visit timing). Matomo may set cookies or use similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Technical and server data

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure and CDN may process technical logs such as IP address, request time, and user agent for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

Fonts and embedded scripts

The Website loads fonts from Google Fonts and a MailerLite script when the waitlist form is shown. Those providers may receive your IP address and browser details as part of delivering the resource.

Why we use your data

• Waitlist communications — to send the updates you asked for (relaunch, essays, invitation). Legal basis: your consent when you submit the form; you can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics — to improve content, performance, and design. Legal basis: your consent via the cookie banner (Matomo loads only if you allow analytics). You can withdraw consent anytime in Cookie settings.
• Security and operations — to keep the Website running and protect it from misuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use processors that help us run the Website:

• MailerLite — waitlist / email delivery (privacy policy)
• Matomo / analytics host — website analytics
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — to serve and protect the Website
• Google Fonts — font delivery (privacy policy)

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of Perzik or our users.

How long we keep data

• Waitlist emails — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we close the waitlist and no longer need the list for the relaunch.
• Analytics data — retained according to our Matomo configuration for as long as needed to analyse trends, then deleted or aggregated.
• Server logs — typically for a short operational period, unless needed longer for security investigations.
