Frequently Asked Questions
What Perzik is, who it's for, and how consent, privacy and community work here.
What is Perzik?
Perzik is an 18+ social platform for people who want to share more of themselves.
That can mean portraits, bodies, skin, nudity, spicy pictures, sexuality, vulnerability, or simply things you don't feel comfortable posting on regular social media.
Perzik is built around consent, privacy and respect. It is a community, not a porn site and not a creator marketplace.
Read What is Perzik?Who is Perzik for?
Perzik is for adults who want a different kind of social space.
You don't have to be a model, creator, nudist, exhibitionist or anything else. You also don't have to post nude pictures.
You decide how much of yourself you want to share.
More about PerzikIs Perzik female-friendly?
Perzik is being built with the experiences and safety of women very much in mind.
That doesn't mean Perzik is only for women. It means we're paying attention to the behaviour that often makes women leave online spaces in the first place: unwanted sexual attention, unsolicited pictures, harassment, entitlement and people who don't understand boundaries.
Calling ourselves female-friendly is easy. Building a place where women actually feel comfortable is the harder part. That's what we're working on.
Is Perzik a safe space?
I don't think it's up to Perzik to declare itself a safe space.
We can create boundaries. We can build tools around consent and privacy. We can moderate. We can remove people who don't respect those boundaries. We can decide what behaviour we will and won't tolerate.
But ultimately, the people using Perzik decide whether they feel safe there.
The responsibility of Perzik is to give them every reason to.
Can I post nude pictures on Perzik?
Yes.
Nudity is allowed on Perzik.
Content that is more explicit or sexual needs to be labelled appropriately so people can decide what they want to see.
The idea is pretty simple: your freedom to post something shouldn't take away somebody else's choice not to see it.
Read What You Can Post on PerzikCan I post spicy or sexually suggestive pictures?
Yes.
Perzik is specifically intended to make room for things that often don't have a place on mainstream social media.
That includes sexy, suggestive and more vulnerable photography.
You don't need to disguise a nipple as educational content here.
Read What You Can Post on PerzikIs Perzik a porn site?
No.
Nudity and sexuality can exist on Perzik, but they aren't the entire point of Perzik.
A naked body isn't automatically porn. A sexual picture isn't automatically an invitation. And allowing explicit content doesn't mean every interaction needs to become sexual.
Context matters.
Is Perzik like OnlyFans?
Not really.
Perzik isn't being built as a creator marketplace where the main relationship is between creators and paying subscribers.
It's a social community.
You're there to participate, post, follow people, interact and find people you connect with.
Is Perzik an alternative to FetLife?
It can be for some people, but Perzik isn't trying to recreate FetLife.
FetLife is primarily built around kink and fetish communities. Perzik is broader.
Perzik is about bodies, sexuality, self-expression, vulnerability, photography and connection, with consent built into the way the community works.
You don't need to identify as kinky to belong here.
Is Perzik a dating app?
No.
But people can meet each other on Perzik.
You'll be able to indicate what you're looking for and whether you're open to dating, including different kinds of connections.
The important difference is that someone's presence on Perzik is never automatically an invitation.
Posting a sexy picture doesn't mean someone wants to date you.
Posting nude doesn't mean someone wants sexual messages from you.
Existing on Perzik doesn't mean someone owes you attention.
Can couples use Perzik?
Yes.
Singles, couples and people in all kinds of relationship structures can use Perzik.
Your profile can give other people some context about your relationship status and what you're actually open to.
Do I have to show my real name?
No.
You should be able to decide how identifiable you want to be on Perzik.
Privacy is especially important when you're asking people to share vulnerable parts of themselves.
Trying to uncover or expose another member's identity without their consent isn't acceptable.
Read the Privacy PolicyCan someone share my Perzik pictures somewhere else?
No.
Something being posted online doesn't mean you've given everyone permission to take it wherever they want.
Content shared within Perzik is intended to stay within the community. Sharing another member's content outside Perzik without their permission is prohibited.
We can't pretend screenshots don't exist. No platform can honestly promise that.
What we can do is make the boundary extremely clear and take violations seriously.
Read the Privacy PolicyWhat happens if someone sends me an unwanted picture?
Images sent privately are blurred first.
You decide whether you want to reveal them.
Because someone else's desire to show you something shouldn't automatically become your responsibility to look at it.
What about dick pics?
Dick pics can exist on Perzik.
Unwanted dick pics don't have to.
Explicit content can be labelled and filtered, and pictures sent privately are blurred until the receiver chooses to open them.
Someone once described Perzik as a dreamcatcher for dick pics.
Honestly, that's not a terrible description.
How does Perzik handle consent?
Consent isn't just something we're putting in the community rules and hoping everyone understands.
That's something I got wrong with the first version of Perzik.
People don't all understand consent in exactly the same way. They have different boundaries, experiences and expectations.
So this time we're thinking about how consent can be built into the product itself.
The goal is to make boundaries clearer before someone crosses them.
Read Consent at PerzikWhat happens if someone behaves like a creep?
There are consequences.
Perzik isn't interested in endlessly accommodating people who make everyone else uncomfortable.
Harassment, repeatedly ignoring boundaries, violating someone's privacy or deliberately making the community miserable can result in losing access to Perzik.
Freedom to express yourself doesn't mean freedom from consequences.
Read the Community GuidelinesCan I control what kind of content I see?
That's the point.
Allowing nudity and sexual content doesn't mean everyone should be forced to see all of it.
Content labels and filters give people more control over their own experience.
You can be comfortable with nudity without wanting explicit sexuality in your feed.
You can enjoy explicit content without wanting it every time you open the app.
Both are completely reasonable.
Is Perzik body-positive?
Perzik welcomes bodies as they actually exist.
You don't need to have a particular body type to post yourself.
At the same time, I don't want "body positivity" to become another requirement telling people how they're supposed to feel about their bodies.
You can love your body.
You can struggle with it.
You can feel sexy today and hate every photograph of yourself tomorrow.
You're still welcome.
Read Shame Is a Learned LanguageIs Perzik LGBTQ+ friendly?
Yes.
Perzik is for adults across genders, sexual orientations and relationship structures.
People can choose how much of that information they want to display on their profile.
Respecting how people identify and the boundaries they set isn't optional.
Do I have to post pictures to join?
No.
You decide how you participate and how vulnerable you want to be.
Nobody is owed access to your body because you joined a platform where nudity is allowed.
Why isn't Perzik completely free?
Because free also means incredibly easy to enter.
That can be wonderful when everybody arrives with good intentions.
Not everybody does.
The new Perzik is deliberately adding more friction to joining. I'd rather build a smaller community of people who actually want to be there than collect thousands of accounts that make the place miserable.
Read why Perzik will be paidWhy is Perzik 18+?
Because Perzik allows nudity, sexual expression and adult conversations.
There is no place for minors on the platform.
Was there an old version of Perzik?
Yes.
This is Perzik 2.0.
I built Perzik before, ran the community, learned a lot from it and eventually closed it down.
Some things worked. Some absolutely didn't.
The new version is being built with those lessons in mind, particularly around consent, moderation, boundaries, privacy and who gets access to the community.
Read Perzik 2.0When does the new Perzik launch?
Perzik is currently being rebuilt.
If you want to know when the new version opens, you can join the mailing list at perzik.xyz.

Perzik isn't interesting because it allows nudity.
There are plenty of places on the internet where you can get naked.
What's more interesting is trying to create a place where you can get naked and still have boundaries.
Where sexuality doesn't automatically mean access.
Where posting your body doesn't mean giving up ownership of it.
Where you can look, or choose not to.
Where consent isn't just a paragraph hidden in the terms.
That's the Perzik I'm trying to build.
